Si se le pregunta, cualquier calamburiano dirá, sin miedo a equivocarse, que Calamburia no hay más que una. Más allá de su continente con forma de C hay otros, sí, pero ninguna tierra se parece a aquella en la que ellos nacieron. Calamburia es única.

No obstante, existe una pareja que afirmaría con rotundidad la existencia de, al menos, dos reinos de Calamburia. Son los hermanos Flemer.

MAPA calamburiaLos Flemer, esos excéntricos eremitas que viven en el Faro Partido, han elaborado todo un relato sobre una realidad alternativa calamburiana. Para la mayoría, sus estudios no son más que una enorme fábula. ¿Universo alternativo? ¿Pero están los Flemel en lo cierto? La verdad es que, de hecho, sí.

Se trata de un reino de terror y sufrimiento, en el que la malvada Zora von Vondra ha ascendido al trono como reina y señora. Zora gobierna bajo una crueldad extrema. Ha sometido a los hortelanos, prohibido las canciones y festejos, aplastado las disidencias y sometido a bárbaros y nómadas. Todos temen a su imperio, dominado por un ejército de fieles acólitos que la veneran como a una diosa.

Sin embargo, la desventaja más sangrante del reinado de Zora es la notable falta de recursos. Dado que los hortelanos son maltratados y mermados, no pueden ocuparse de las tierras todo lo bien que deberían, lo cual produce escasez. Por otro lado, Zora prefiere la conquista al comercio. No trata con mercaderes, ni con los navíos que llegan desde el extranjero. Cualquiera que no obedezca sus órdenes es su enemigo, lo cual le ha proporcionado muchas enemistades.

La Calamburia alternativa es una tierra hostil en la que zíngaros y e impromagos han sido perseguidos por escuadras inquisitoriales, sometidos, torturados y ejecutados. Ya no existe el Archimago, ni el patriarca Arnaldo. La Puerta del Este es una muralla llena de guardias que nada protege, pues los nómadas y los salvajes permanecen vigilados en diminutas reservas de terreno.

LA MARQUESA REINA DE TODO CALAMBURIAPuede que Zora von Vondra se sienta orgullosa del reino que gobierna, pero la verdad es que los pilares de su imperio se tambalean. Las revueltas por la comida se suceden en cada pueblo y ciudad grande, y ya se rumorea que han surgido varios grupos rebeldes formados por mercenarios, trovadores a los que se les ha prohibido cantar y mercaderes que no pueden ejercer su negocio. En este grupo rebelde también se encuentran los inventores, que luchan por que la inquisición no vete sus experimentos.

Y así, el grupo rebelde pelea por cambiar el mundo, por cambiar la realidad de las cosas… de forma literal.

Pocos saben que esta realidad alternativa fue la verdadera durante mucho tiempo, y que la Calamburia que conocemos hoy es el fruto de las luchas rebeldes sucedidas en aquel otro plano de existencia. ¿Cómo se logró un hecho tan extraordinario? Porque los inventores, ayudados por los demás insurrectos, elaboraron una máquina del tiempo capaz de alterar el curso del futuro.
